So I’m continuing my funky colored hair and taking it EVEN FURTHER. I’ve decided that rather than try to get the quasi-balayage touched up that I would just go all the way teal and wait for my natural color to grow in at the roots. I wasn’t a huge fan of how the teal faded into the brown. In some parts is looked great but in others I very much disliked how there were “fingers” of teal. It made my hair look greasy even if it was freshly washed, I think just due to the chunky color differences. Not a good look. This was especially pronounced at the back of my head which I can’t see on a regular basis so it was always a surprise to see how bad the color looked on the back when I was confronted with something like…oh I don’t know…the multiple mirrors in every fitting room ever. At least this way, I’ve have an even amount of root and I think that the clear line between the natural color and the obviously-could-never-be-natural color will work a little bit better for me, aesthetically.
I’ve never been blonde so it was a fun day but didn’t last for long. I don’t think it’s a good color for me. It mostly just washed my face. And accented all of my surface redness and unevenness of my skin. Good times.
