I recently picked up the new Wet n’ Wild Photofocus Concealer (Light/Medium Beige) since I have run out of the Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer…which I will also no longer be buying.

Guys. Trying to figure out the right shade is annoying. I watched many videos, looked at swatches, and generally stared at the display trying to figure myself out. I did figure out that EmilyNoel83 on YouTube is a very close skin match for me though and that has been immensely helpful. I debated between the Wet n’ Wild and the new Milani concealer and having tried nothing other than blushes, primers, and lipstick from either brand it was really tough. Next time I will grab the Milani and see how it is because the Wet n’ Wild is rather dry which can be tricky to work with on my already dry skin.

Part of what made this choice so difficult is that I prefer using just a concealer where I need it rather than a full face of foundation so I need a very good match and concealer color ranges are typically more limited. I was also trying my damnedest to find the Elf stick foundation in Nude. Can’t find that shit anywhere except online through Ulta and then shipping is as much as the product and I can’t use my store credit towards it. No thank you.

I also picked up the Elf Mad for Matte eyeshadow palette and I am really liking it. For $10 it’s on the upper end of Elf pricing but the colors are nicely pigmented and blend out well. They did crease on me at about the 8 hour mark but that is fairly standard for my oily, hooded eyes. I am eyeballing some other Elf products, particularly their lipsticks (so cheap!) which I have heard great things about.
